Welcome back TLC 2.0!
Thornbury Learning Centre was first established in 2018 by Julia Atkinson as an after-school program combined with homework help.
When the world shifted in 2020, Julia TLC decided to bring her magic online to keep students engaged and supported through their screens. Eventually, as life settled into a new rhythm, TLC paused.......but great ideas—and great educators—don’t stay quiet for long.
In 2024 when Susanne Curry moved to Thornbury and met Julia, it was an instant connection. Both shared deep roots in education, and a passion for supporting children with learning. Together, they decided to relaunch TLC, and just like that TLC 2.0 was born!
The newly launched TLC 2.0 will add more offerings to the mix with a cooperative of teachers who specialize in supporting children ages 6-18, in all subject areas and learning challenges.
